Oatmeal Applesauce Cookie Ingredients

Preheat oven to 350*.

Stir together the applesauce, sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla.

Combine oats, cinnamon, baking powder and salt.

Add the oats/cinnamon to the applesauce/eggs. Stir to combine.

Slowly add the flour until a cookie dough forms. Depending on the consistency of your applesauce up can add up to 3/4 cup of flour. Just be careful because there are not fats or oils in the dough. I overdid it a little and my cookies did not spread. i ended up with cookie balls instead of flat cookies.

At this point you can add nuts or chocolate chips or M&Ms or marshmallows… anything you desire. I scooped out a dozen plain cookies. Then added a handful of chocolate chips and scooped out another dozen. Then added some pecans and finished scooping the cookies onto silicone lined cookie sheets.

Thats a pretty sight!!

Bake 8-10 minutes.
